Description
“Chainsaw Man” is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from December 2018 to December 2020, and has since been adapted into an anime series by studio MAPPA, premiering in October 2022. The story revolves around Denji, a young man burdened with immense debt left by his deceased father. To pay off the debt, Denji works as a devil hunter, using his pet devil, Pochita, who resembles a small chainsaw.
Denji’s life takes a drastic turn when he is betrayed and killed by a group of devils. Pochita merges with Denji, reviving him as a human-devil hybrid with chainsaw powers. Denji gains the ability to transform parts of his body into chainsaws, making him a formidable hunter. He is then recruited by the Public Safety Devil Hunters, a government agency tasked with combating devils.
